Desires are also known as your “WHY.”
To achieve anything, it must be emotionally charged.
Goals are specific, measurable, and time-bound targets you set for yourself. Desires are often fueled by emotions. A desire is something you want to achieve or to have.
It’s the results you “desire” that you commit to achieving. Taking the time to think about what you desire gives you a sense of purpose.
Setting goals helps us take a step back and get some perspective on what’s important. Put simply, a goal is a path to a desire with a deadline. Setting goals puts you in the driver’s seat of your life. By writing down goals, you actively acknowledge what you desire, where you want to be, or what you want to have. Part of the process for how to set goals should be deciding what inspires you and what your values are.
You should be passionate about your desires and set goals to achieve them. Your desires should be meaningful to you and provide you with a sense of pride once you meet them. Your goals shouldn’t be dependent on other people. They also shouldn’t be reliant on external factors you have no control over.
Before Midnight on 12/31, you set in your mind all the things you desire to achieve and obtain by the end of next year.
